The Tappeinerweg Trail
Our favourite promenade
Give your car a few days off and walk to the town centre or to Gratsch. The Tappeinerweg Trail, our "house trail", runs directly in front of la Libella and takes you into a world full of Mediterranean plants, wonderful vantage points and lovely places to stop for a break.
Our recommendation: Combine your walk (or running lap) with the irrigation channel pathway Algund!
Merano and its arcades
Our coffee hotspots
Stroll into the old town of Merano and take in the historic arcades, museums, markets, shops and curiosities - everything is just a few steps away from your holiday home "la Libella". Especially worth noting is the Alpine-Mediterranean landscape between palm trees and mountains.
Our recommendation: Stroll along the promenades and enjoy a cappuccino in the sun!
Tirol Castle & Hochmuth
Our "high"lights
Leave the valley behind and hike or take the chairlift to Dorf Tirol. Via the Falconer's Promenade, the Apple Trail or the Wine Trail, you can reach the imposing Castle Tyrol with its State Museum of Cultural and Regional History within a few minutes.
Our recommendation: Afterwards, hop on the Hochmuth cable car and enjoy the view over the Adige Valley!
Spronser Seen lakes & Mutspitze mountain
Our Alpine highlights
Hike from Dorf Tirol up to the colourful Spronser Seen lakes, which are located in the heart of the Texel Group Nature Park. The high mountain lakes can be combined with a mountain tour to the Mutspitze mountain and other impressive mountain peaks.
Our recommendation: Experienced mountaineers will also find several three-thousand-metre peaks and via ferratas in the surrounding area!
Bike tours & rental
Our bliss on two wheels
Rent a suitable (e-)bike at the various bike rental stations (or take your own with you) and explore the Merano region from the saddle of a bike. From challenging off-road tours to pleasant routes on marked cycling paths, it's all here.
Our recommendation: Discover Merano with the free bike-sharing service. Bike boxes are available at the Thermenplatz square.

There's always something going on in Merano and the surrounding area... and the best thing about it is that there really are events and activities to suit every taste and all ages!
